To make the butter sauce, you’ll need about 1 cup of brown sugar. For the glaze, a tablespoon of powdered sugar will be needed.
Granulated sugar has fine granules that are perfect to sprinkle onto food since they don’t cake together. Brown sugar is actually just white sugar with the cane molasses still intact. Powdered sugar, on the other hand, has finer granules than granulated sugar.
One of the most notable characteristics of a monkey bread is the cinnamon flavor. Cinnamon is a common baking spice used primarily for flavoring. In this recipe, you’ll need a tablespoon of cinnamon to coat the biscuits with the sugar.

A silicone spatula comes handy in several tasks, like mixing ingredients, emptying bowls, and cooking. Compared to a rubber spatula, a silicone spatula is more flexible, heat-resistant, and doesn’t discolor. If you have no silicone spatula, you can use a spoon instead.
To make your butter-brown sugar sauce, you need a saucepan. Any material of saucepan will do; whether aluminum, stainless steel, or copper. If you have no saucepan in your kitchen, you can use any cookware.
To give that distinctive ring shape, you’ll need a bundt pan to bake your bread. If you like to make an even-baked bread, avoid using dark pans. Also, make sure you use one that's non-stick.
Nonstick Cooking Spray
If your bundt pan doesn’t have a nonstick finish, then it’s necessary that you grease it with a nonstick cooking spray so your bread won’t stick. Even if your bundt pan has a nonstick finish, it doesn’t hurt to use a nonstick cooking spray to be sure.
After your monkey bread is done cooking, you can transfer it into a serving plate of your choice. If you like to give a good presentation, you can use a pedestal cake plate. However, if you don’t mind the design, you can use any regular plate.
The Procedure: How To Make Blueberry Monkey Bread
1. Prepare The Biscuit Dough And Coat
In a bowl, cut the biscuit dough into quarters using your scissors. Set aside. In another bowl, mix 1/4 cup granulated sugar, one tablespoon cinnamon, and a pinch of freshly ground nutmeg. Using a rubber spatula, give everything a quick mix. Next, place the biscuit quarters into the bowl of cinnamon mixture and coat them using your hands.

Now, add the blueberries. You may not mix the whole cup of blueberries into the cream because you can throw in more blueberries later.
3. Cook The Butter Sauce
In a saucepan, throw in two sticks of unsalted butter and one cup of brown sugar. Cook over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes or until the brown sugar has fully dissolved. Stir frequently using your silicone spatula.
4. Assemble The Blueberry Monkey Bread
First, grease the bundt pan with the nonstick cooking spray. Make sure that you have all the interior of the pan covered. Next, place half of the coated biscuits into the pan. Using the spatula, spread the cream cheese mixture into the biscuits forming a second layer of the monkey bread. Throw in half of the remaining blueberries that you set aside.
Now, layer the remaining coated biscuits on top of the cream cheese mixture. Pour the butter sauce over the biscuits and throw in the last remaining blueberries on top.
5. Bake And Serve
In a preheated oven, bake the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 35 minutes. Once the bread is done, remove from the oven and cool for about five minutes. With the serving plate of your choice, flip the bundt pan over.
For presentation, drizzle the top with a glaze that is made of one tablespoon powdered sugar, one tablespoon lemon juice, and three tablespoons milk. Serve and enjoy while hot.
